Very well then.

We both agree on upside. And FTR, I've held some long but have jumped in and out of COMS on occasion. On the whole, I may be slightly up but nothing to brag about.

And I'll concede that management has bungled some things, like the USR acquisition. It has taken two years to unstuff the channels and COMS certainly hasn't delivered any shareholder value from the acquisition yet...far from it.

One other thing: though management's insistence on tightening up inventory levels and increasing turns has made earnings look a lot worse than they otherwise would have been these past two years, they do seem to have freed up a lot of cash. Both of these trends haven't really been given much credit, but they'll accrue to shareholders soon enough.

Also, from my perspective 3COM's in a terrific position to benefit from the upcoming wireless revolution. As we become a nation (world) of do-it-yourselfers, 3COM products will have a real edge (pun not intended).
