AOL is a commodity. Some software and Content.

You can make a great auto that gets 1000 mpg and costs $5K to buy and has 350 HP, but it does you no good unless you have a road to drive it on...

T owns pipes....fat pipes into people's homes...
like a road?

People use AOL now because it is a simple, easy way to get on the internet. This will change

>>>I live in Morris County and have watched T through deregulation and have been unimpressed by their vision and execution and marketing.<<<

I think T has done a lot to address their vision problem. Ever since Armstrong was put in charge (well after deregulation), T has become a very aggressive company. To completely change the telecom landscape by buying TCI and bringing voice and data into the house via TV cable was a very gutsy move that even suggests T is following a new vision. I expect the original vision belongs to Malone and he deserves the recognition - but Armstrong bought into it completely and has begun turning the T ship.
