Boy, do I agree.
Too often schools use these tests in a negative way, setting limitations on children, make decisions that they shouldn't do certain things because according to the tests, they can't. ANd a lot of people haven't a clue what those tests mean anyway.

I watched CW and Ammo take an IQ test once. It was fascinating. Ammo would look at a problem and if he didn't immediately see a solution would look out the window until the tester said, "Ready?" He couldn't have cared less. CW on the other hand, refused to give up on ANY problem, begging for more time.
One section involved making designs from various shapes. AMmo flew through it. He could take one look at the design and immediately construct it. It was phenomenal. THe tester said she had never seen anyone do it so fast. CW on the other hand, had a lot of trouble with that section.
But so what?
I don't know what good it did us to find that out. Ammo still almost failed geometry.
