Enhanced access control list (ACL) support enables system administrators to set user-level file and directory permissions from a single graphical user interface screen for all UNIX and NT platforms, thereby consolidating and simplifying what was once a laborious task. With NT logon, users can create a domain without a Windows NT server acting as a domain controller. Recently built into the JetWorks(R) Plus operating environment, these new features further simplify UNIX administration and increase NT data security. The intelligent storage hub is a family of network-attached storage solutions that enable transparent file sharing between heterogeneous environments and reduce the cost of ownership by consolidating storage and management functions. A fully integrated system, the MetaStor intelligent storage hub is first to market a full complement of features that customers require. These include multi-protocol support combined with a high performance file system, complete backup solution and enterprise-level storage management, all in a proven operating environment.
