You did all that for a trout?

Was the rod you bought graphite?

Been back to the "george" twice since then Two weeks ago went in over my new chest high waders....ever try to swim in a very fast current with a rubber bag of water strapped to your chest.... while hanging on to a new fly rod? ....Fortunately although deep,in this spot the stream was only six feet wide. This weekend hung around till way after dark and couldn't find the trail to get out.Stumbled around on the cliffs in the dark for about an hour [ occasionally sliding down to what I thought was a certain death ]before I found my way out.In spite of this and being eaten alive by mosquitoes.....caught Trout...So all is worth while.

What part of the gorge did you fish?

Was it crowded?

I fished the Farmington in Ct. Fri. & Sat. It was crowded but I enjoyed it a bunch anyway. It was very cool with steam rising off the river in the morning. A nice break for a Texas boy trying to survive another summer.
