Frank, Do you know how effect HFC networks are and what is preventing a near fully optical solution (once the switching issues are resolved) from being tried. It this what is happening in Salt Lake City? Also what are your thoughts (when you get a chance) of my musing on the TERN page of an ATHM+TERN+Rogers+(at least in Canada) MSFT combiing building a non DOCSIS standard highway. If other ISPs want access then they would have to buy a TERN non DOCSIS 1.1 standard "bridge". Regards Steve
