Uh no, my issue is not with the graduated tax structure. Sure I don't like it but that is not what I am talking about. I feel married couples should pay the same taxes as single people, or anybody for that matter. It seems to me the current tax code is actually trying to achieve that end. I don't believe there is a marriage tax penalty.

In a perfect world I would say people should fill out their taxes with no reference to marital status at all.
