on Lucifer, er, Lucas electronics ho ho ho ...my dad bought a Morgan when we lived in London for a year in the mid 1970's ...He brought it back to the US and had all kinds of problems with several of the Lucas components.... I think Lucas eventually went out of business.

Not only did Jaguar improve the quality but (imho) the designs actually improved! That was surprising because Jags are really stylish cars. The real problem with Jaguar I think are the corrupt dealers/service, etc. My ex had one and precisely one month after the warranty expires they find all this stuff wrong. Volvos just need a little sportier design is all... they have improved pretty dramatically but still a ways to go... remember the add with the box on wheels?
