KETCHUM, Idaho, Jul 12, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- Thomas
Gillespie, founder and chairman of the Board of Aqua Vie Beverage
Corporation (OTC BB:AVBC), announced today initial shipments of product
including four flavors of Aqua Vie's Hydrator(TM) line from the
company's bottler, Delifruits SA (Valence, France).

Aqua Vie product in half-liter and 2-liter bottles is destined for
retail outlets in Europe, the Middle East and China.

Delifruits SA, an aseptic bottling facility located in southeast
France, is owned by Bongrain SA, a large food company. Delifruits, well
known for product innovation, has also developed its own line of
chocolate drinks, Veloute de Chocolat, a deguster chaud and a boire
frappe, to be marketed by Aqua Vie into the aforementioned markets.
Bottled in distinctive blue and brown shrink-labeled bottles, these
single-serve chocolate-based drinks are expected to gain attention
among adult chocolate connoisseurs and erstwhile coffee drinkers.

Aqua Vie's exclusive distributor in Israel, H. A. Cosmos Trade Ltd.,
will distribute Aqua Vie product, bearing the Kosher emblem, throughout
Israel, Jordan, the West Bank, Gaza, and Spain. Distributor Batterjee
Medical Services -- with whom Aqua Vie has plans to joint venture a
bottling plant specializing in Aqua Vie's product and non-alcoholic
wines -- will service retail outlets throughout Saudi Arabia. Kuwait,
Syria, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Iran, United Arab Emirates and several
additional countries in northeastern Africa. The company's distributor
in China, where bottled water and all-natural products are gaining
popularity, is Sunryel Nutritional Network, in Beijing, Shanghai, and
Harbin City.

Gillespie indicated that though its first run went virtually without a
hitch, Aqua Vie is taking extra care, especially in light of recent
events in Europe. "While Delifruits is expert in the field of aseptic
bottling, our strict quality control process, which includes a broad
series of microbiological tests, is designed to ensure a bacteria-free
product with the sort of flavor stability that has been missing among
many non-carbonated waters until now," said Gillespie.

On the domestic front, Gillespie indicated that the company's North
American promotion is expected to begin with "live" as well as
pre-recorded spots on the Howard Stern Show in New York and Los Angeles
on July 29. "While this represents a delay of our previous schedule,
live participation by Howard Stem versus a campaign of merely
prerecorded commercial messages seems well worth it," said Gillespie.
"Though shareholders are understandably anxious for things to get
underway, Aqua Vie's North American debut is going to bean industry
first, and 'industry firsts' sometimes take a little longer. At long
