Not quite sure what you mean by "look back points" but I take a stab at the question anyway.

Unless one is performing an interim analysis (and taking the statistical power hit to do so), it is generally a regulatory no-no to unblind a trial prior to all the subjects completing all the pre-specified evaluations. This is especially true in pivotal efficacy trials.
