James, although TA is helpful, I don't need it to tell me where MSFT's trading patterns are headed (for the most part). If MSFT is forming a cup and handle, this handle must be made of steel because it is one of the biggest cup and smallest handle formations I have ever seen <vbg>.

Keep an eye on MSFT's trading volume. At around 11:30 am this morning, the volume seemed to pick it up a notch. Considering that the volume has been terrible in MSFT for the last few weeks, this could be the beginning of an attempt to blast through its all time high of 95 5/8.

James - thanks for your insight. Not being well versed in TA, could you please elaborate what the cup and handle formation means. My understanding is that it is a basing pattern and can be a precursor for big up movements.

In the meantime, we are upto 94 7/16. Go MSFT.
