Remington-Hall Hires New Chief Financial Officer

DALLAS, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Remington-Hall Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: REMH), a diversified real estate investment firm based in Dallas, Texas announced today the Company has hired a Chief Financial Officer.

Glenn Petty, President of Remington-Hall, stated today, "The first step to rebuilding the Company is to restore its financial integrity. To that end, we are proud to announce that we have hired Chip Langston as the Chief Financial Officer."

Mr. Langston, a Certified Public Accountant, was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Transwestern Exploration and more recently President of Search Exploration, which merged with Harken Energy in 1995.

"Chip's considerable public company experience and financial contacts should help Remington-Hall fund projects currently pending, as well as provide strong, goal oriented Financial direction," remarked Douglas T. Fonteno, Chairman, "He will also oversee an audit of the books and records of the Company since inception. Mr. Langston expects to have the Company's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission current by September 30, 1999."

In addition to the hiring of Mr. Langston, Mr. Petty stated the Company was in final negotiations to purchase several multi-family and commercial properties in the booming Dallas-Ft. Worth market, to be announced in the coming weeks.
