For those with some free time... Jean July 12, 1999 Bologna, Italy - The Biometric-System Lab (University of Bologna), the Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Laboratory of Michigan State University and the U.S. National Biometric Test Center (San Jose State University) are planning to organize a Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC2000). FVC2000 will take place in conjunction with the ICPR 2000 conference which will be held in Barcelona (Spain), September 3-8, 2000 ( cvc.uab.es ). The FVC2000 competition focuses only on fingerprint verification software. Databases collected with various hardware sensors will be employed.
