IMHO, look for an announcement that DELL has been writing many puts and buying calls in recent weeks to advance (increase/accelerate) their stock buy-back strategy. Also, an acquisition, IMHO, would be done with stock, not cash. The $4B is there just to have in the till. Every company of this size probably needs that sort of petty <G> cash lying around...

I think that an acquisition may be in the cards given that mgmt has asked for an additional 4 billion shares to be authorized (as opposed to only the 3 billion needed to effect another 2:1). I see from 500-750M shares being issued to effect an acquisition.

My only concern is that DELL is on record for saying 'why buy it when we can build it'...

It'll be an interesting second half of this year.
