Doran, 51, as vice president and general manager of AMD Saxony Manufacturing GmbH (Fab 30) in Dresden, Germany. Previously, Doran was vice president, Fab 25 and Submicron Development Center (SDC) Operations. Doran will report to Gary Heerssen, group vice president of AMD's Wafer Fab Group. "Jim has played a key role in the success of AMD's manufacturing operations," Heerssen said. "He has a proven track record at AMD and has demonstrated the ability to build a strong operation that can effectively manage our accelerated pace of change." W. J.
