Why I Started a New CANSLIM Thread JT, Any reason why you did not post this on the CANSLIM board that is already established? Hi, JB2. Before I started this CANSLIM thread, I read the last 100 or so messages on the other CANSLIM thread: CANSLIM - COAST TO COAST Subject 9708 Although the posters on the other CANSLIM thread were having a rip roaring good time, I didn't see any serious discussion of CANSLIM principles. In general, the messages simply referred to stock picks without any application of CANSLIM principles to the fundamental and technical nature of the stocks. My purpose in starting this CANSLIM thread is to focus on the CANSLIM system of stock selection and its practical application. Rather than simply trading stock picks with others, I would rather take a more detailed, analytical approach. For instance, when I presented PLCE and MNMD for discussion (Messages 5 & 9), I clearly outlined all of the facts supporting each of the seven principles of CANSLIM as it applied to each particular stock. In response, I would expect messages from others stating that they either agreed or disagreed with my analysis and, if they disagreed, stating specifically wherein I erred and what facts support their opinion. I would like to see others post messages with CANSLIM stock selections and supporting facts. I would also welcome any other messages relevant to the CANSLIM system. I think this type of discussion would be beneficial to those who are interested in learning the CANSLIM system and applying it in a practical manner. Of course, JB2, I am not trying to define the limits of conversation on this thread. Any and all comments are welcome! This thread will evolve into what ever it was meant to be.
