I don't know.

I guess I assumed that unless they completely kill of the K6-2, like they did the K6, it will eventually be made on the same process as the rest of their processors. I would also expect a mobile K6-2 made on the .18 process to compete with the mobile Celeron.

The current K6-2 has an up to 6X multiplier, so I thought the K6-2 made on the .18 process could be AMD's ultra-cheap PC processor until mid next year. Do you think AMD will just leave the ultra-cheap PC market for Via and Intel to scramble over? Even though those processors sell at low prices, the K6-2 will only take up about 46mm2 of space so it should theoretically be cheap to make, IF AMD's .18 process is up to par.
