R,
Northeast is being added to the Russell 2000, thats the reason for a large part of the move. Gilder letter is not a stock letter its a telecom letter without any regard for stock timing. The letter just happened to come out on the day the Russell 2000 inclusion was announced. This is not to say the Gilder letter isn't of value because I am a subscriber and I like the information.

How many new picks does he put out (per month)?

His newsletter comes out monthly. Soemtimes no new stocks are added to his list of "ascendent technology" companies.

Do all picks go up 50+ % when publicized ?

No. It's really been just recently that the stocks have been jumping after his mention. This is becuase the brilliance of his understanding of technology is now beginning to be understood.

He's not a timer. Qualcomm languished for years, but look at the stock ln the last six months as the world years later discovered what he knew years ago.

Can you give a more recent example of one of his successful picks ?

QCOM, GSTRF, UNPH, JDS, CNXT, ATHM, ADI, BRCM, CIEN......
