I remember the Cavalry. They were supposedly busting the "illegal shorts"...probably a couple of old codgers- maybe buddies of Riley - with a few thousand bucks among them, wanting to feel important again...That's how they seemed to me at the time. Their actions and Riley's statements were beyond ludicrous...really kind of sad and pathetic, IMO. The focus all along should have been on the sham that was OVIS, and later RMIL. A clothing manufacturer turned water company, turned gone in a puff of smoke. The sad part, apart from the suckers pulled in as "investors", is that the management at RMIL played to the poor old codger's worst paranoid fears, and got Riley and his bunch so riled up that they'll probably never drop the subject, even though RMIL is a memory and was probably NEVER a real company. The thieves here weren't the supposed "Illegal shorts", but the sham. non-existent company, IMO...Just like the Clinton White house...the more guilty they are, the more conspiracies against them abound... Life, and people, are strange.
