Add to your excellent post that the existing VxWorks base has no incentive to switch to CE. A switch would mean not only learning new codex for the engineers, but establishing reliable personal contacts in support. All this adds time to market. Microsoft's culture is not geared to micro-managed support and reliance on third rate Microsoft roadees will not convince the experienced RTOS designers. One thing overlooked is that WRS in my opinion has attracted some of the best software engineers in the industry. These are people who understand the whole concept and can work creative solutions, not simply a specific subset of an OS. They are pushing the envelope. How many software engineers can claim to work on spacecraft projects with extremely limited environments. Sincerely, Ben
