PB,

<I don't agree with the Christmas part. When did Intel say they were walking away from the Christmas season?>

I didn't say Intel is walking away from the Christmas season. What I was implied by "walking gingerly into this Christmas season" was that having slipped on CuMine, Intel very likely will not be shipping the highest processor grade for the season - creating some perception problems and leaving a few dollars on the table. IMHO, 180nm CuMine would have not matched K7 in FP but could have had a very good shot at matching the MHz ratings.

PB - RE: "When did Intel say they were walking away from the Christmas season?"

Chuck didn't say that.

Completely ignoring any AMD bias I bring - Intel may not enter the Christmas season with their best stride. The DELAY you had to help fix may not allow Intel to have >600MHz parts this year (according to articles on the web), unless their awesome 5% shrunk .25 process can be exceed 600Mhz.
