HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 1999--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news) today announced the availability of new Deskpro models with Intel's new 466 MHz Celeron(TM) processor and the 810 chipset on the Deskpro EN Series Small Form Factor and Deskpro EP Series of ''towerable'' commercial PCs. These computers have been specially designed to deliver optimized price/performance by incorporating a high level of component integration, such as graphics and audio. As a result, businesses can economically replace older PCs with Deskpro models that offer greater performance at an exceptional value.
