. Here's one of my favorite excerpts from my friend who listens very closely to Steve Harmon.

I believe AOL is probably the best long term stock to own. As a result and IMO, I

think it is counter-productive to look at the daily fluctuations (with the
possible exception of buying more on dips). There is a tendency to over
react to daily news and stock price changes and you can lose focus that
you are really long on the stock. Most investors who look at the stock
price daily aren't truly long. Instead, they are continually looking for posts
and news to either confirm or refute their long position. In other words,
they are not really committed to their long position and they do not have
faith in their original decision to buy AOL long (otherwise they would buy
it and check in periodically). I know this is very hard to do, especially if
you are heavily invested. In the recent best seller "The Millionaire Next
Door" the authors pointed out that there were very few stock brokers
who became millionaires because they had looked at the stock price
every day and they would sell their positions in stocks that would have
made them millionaires if they had only held on to them. Let's face it,
many of us play the stock market like it is the lotto-we want to hit real big
real fast. But just like the above mentioned stock brokers learned and
what we should learn-when it comes to AOL follow these 3 rules 1)don't
sell 2)dont sell 3)DO NOT SELL! You will thank me in 5 years. Don't
become an investor who says 10 years from now " I wish I had held on
to AOL-I would be rich today! Of course, the above is my opinion and
each person should invest based on their own research and investment
goals.

Steve Harmon, who is one of the top internet company analysts recently
said that the one stock that your grandchildren would look at you funny if
you did not own for the long term is AOL. He believes that AOL is the
best long term internet stock and anyone interested in investing in the
internet,in the future of commerce, and in our digital future should own
AOL stock. He also said that AOL is the only company that Microsoft is
afraid of. This is good enough for me.
