If Linley were to use his same analysis on the K6, he'd decide that the K6 falls well short of being true "sixth-generation technology." (This would depend on whether he discounts the K6-2 as a "mid-life kicker," in his own words.) In the final analysis, though, it really doesn't make one hoot of a difference. It could be "twelvth-generation technology" for all I care, but if AMD can't make more than a handful every quarter ... well, why burden people with the same old anti-AMD FUD? Tenchusatsu
