Thanks for the info. I'm in this thing with 800 shares at an average price of 161.25 and my gut tells me that the stock is too cheap now because of everything thats going on in the market in general. Like you said everyone is talking about new highs for the market and the strength of earnings. I think that yhoo as been hammered to hard but then again I thought that back at the prices that I got it at. Now i'm trying to figure out if I should take the loss which I dont want to do because I think it will rebound but when is the question.

What place do you daytrade with?

Also do you know of any good technical analysis books?

My problem is timing my daytrades with TA.

Steve, great post. Agree 100%. One thing I've been looking for for the past 5 days is either a daily candle marking reversal or a 60 minute macd reversal or candle reversal. Neither has occurred. In my experience, Yahoo has rarely or ever bottomed on a black candle with a small or no lower shadow. For anyone seeking entry, I'd certainly wait for a hammer bottom or doji reversal. For anyone already long, I'd pray hard for a bottom soon (disclaimer: I have a long position). FWIW, this "sell-off" really isn't that unusual for Yahoo. Looking back at the charts, it happens all the time. IMHO, I really think the institutions let the stock go to extremes before entering so to flush out anyone and everyone that buys this stock on margin. BTW, I follow the 10 minute volume bars on the stock. Since the sell-off started last week, I have yet to see a volume spike when the stock went up intraday. However, I've seen a million of them on the downside. When over a million shares trade in a 10 minute period with the stock going up more than $2, I think it'll have a decent chance of stopping this bleeding. But it hasn't happened yet.
