MP3, which has its IPO next week, is raising its offering price due to greater demand. Also, most of the MP3 sites now require purchase of a CD recorder in order to play their music. So you are having to purchase more hardware and download more software just in order to play back the music. With flash memory on a Diamond Rio you get the playback device and music storage all wrapped into one. Is flash memory the future of recorded music? The Diamond Rio claims their music quality is comparable CD quality. Anyone have any experience?
