People forget the most simple shorters rule #1 : YOU CAN ONLY SHORT A STOCK WHEN ENOUGH SHARES ARE FREE; IF PEOPLE SET SELL LIMITS, THE FLOAT FOR SHORTERS DRIES UP CAUSE BROKERS CAN NOT LEND THEM OUT ANY LONGER AND OPEN SHORTPOSITIONS HAVE TO BE COVERED
