What a wonderful day to deternmine direction.

We have two large announcements from AMZN coming directly into the jaws of a weak market. This on top of a mini-correction over the last few days. Normally this would be at least a double digit up day for AMZN. We'll see. I'm currently neutral after scalping a little long on DRIV and YHOO yesterday and a little short on EBAY.

Friday's and Monday's chart on YHOO clearly showed orderly selling by large parties. Appeared to be handled by professional traders. I'm sitting on the sidelines for that one.

I plan to play it by observing the first 45 minutes. I'm hoping for a big selloff, and then will nibble long. First long trade will be small, and will not add on unless we sustain 5 point bounce back. Otherwise, the market is telling us that Press Release Paydays are over.

On a footnote, saw Bezos interviewed this morning on Bloomberg TV. I must say (and I'm not a huge fan) that I'm impressed by his absolute passion for the best possible "customer experience" from the first time visit to the site, to the opening of the received package at one's home. This part they are executing better than anyone. Whether it matters in stock price is still being determined. Historically, a passion like this wins.

Glenn, I have 1.5 megabit DSL to my apartment through Pacbell. What does that have to do with my desire to not see little rectangles of flashing animation trying to sell crap that I don't want?

-------------------
With all your money you could have cable or DSL. In the event that is not available in your area, put in a T1 to start. The load speed will not be an issue. I know that from experience.
