MOSAID Systems announces new products at SEMICON/West-99: Newest fourth generation tester is
one of four products to be launched

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--MOSAID Technologies Inc. (TSE:MSD - news) has announced that it will showcase its latest fourth generation test system and other products targeted at the engineering memory
test systems market at this year's SEMICON/West-99Exhibition in San Jose, California.

The MS4155 Memory Test System is the newest fourth generation test system launched by the Company. It is designed to test and analyze PC133, single (SDR) and double data rate (DDR) SDRAM
memory devices in a highly interactive and engineering-friendly software environment. The MS4155 performs characterization and design verification as well as product engineering, failure analysis, quality
assurance and yield enhancement testing tasks.

MOSAID's Systems Division has also announced the introduction of two third-generation tools: the Real-time Bitmap Tool for gigabit memory chips and the Composite Bitmap Analyzer, version 3. The
Real-time Bitmap Tool sets new standards in high-speed bitmap capture, storage, retrieval, manipulation and display, allowing the user to capture, manipulate and view bitmaps for gigabit devices as quickly
and easily as bitmaps for kilobit devices. The Composite Bitmap Analyzer is a memory array cell failure correlation and distribution analysis tool used to identify trends and anomalies in the manufacturing
process. This tool is used primarily in design validation, failure analysis, prototype engineering, process control and quality assurance.

SEMICON/West-99 also marks the launch of MOSAID's Tester Control Software (TCS), running under Microsoft(r) Windows NT(tm). The software combines object-oriented test setup procedures with
an interactive user interface and a Sybase Relational Database Management System. The relational database provides for independent user accounts and secure data. The operating system has built-in
network support. TCS allows the user to focus on the device being tested, and not on the test system, allowing the user to quickly analyze and solve memory device problems, improve yields and enhance
speed distributions.

MOSAID will be exhibiting these new products and be available for questions at booth number 9606 in the San Jose Convention Center. SEMICON/West-99 is being held from July 14 - 16, and represents
North America's largest exposition devoted to semiconductor equipment, materials, services and technology.
