Well if they want to look at it that way life is a gamble. You take a gamble in almost every business you go into. Nothing is etched in stone. It just some gambles are of a higher percentage than others.
They key to daytrading, like many other traders here have eluded to is to enjoy your work and have pride in it because it really takes alot of concentration and knowledge and passion to even have a chance to make it here but if you do make it,daytrading will open a window of opportunities in your life.
Im a cook in our family business but plan on giving daytrading a full time try. If i succeed ,great I have an opportinity to make a living doing what i love and to help pay for some of my parents bills,if not im back to cooking over a hot grill every day. As you can see my motivation to succeed is very strong LOOOOOL
I think anyone that calls a daytrader a true gambler should take the time to know the people in the profession who have succeeded and will see that Daytraders are very knowledgable people who come from all walks of life.
