Yeah- I thought it might have been more humane to kill it than to try to "take care of it" but I certainly wouldn't have wanted to euthanize it- and my husband gets tired of being the executioner.

When I was in college I worked one summer for the forest preserve district in my home town. One of my jobs was to mow the grass in an orchard that was right next to some dense woods. So one day I'm mowing at the edge of the woods with a Cub Cadet riding mower and I ran over a nest of baby rabbits that I could not see from the mower since the grass was probably 6 or 8 inches tall. I think of those poor bunnies every time I mow the lawn, even though this happened almost 20 years ago.
