I've used a projection oscillator quite a bit, and most of the equities I track look oversold. The .DRG (Pharmaceutical Index) is buried on 0, which is waaaay oversold.

I think the expiration will tend to keep things level, however, because it seems like the price of equities tends to gravitate to the strikes with the greatest open interest due to excercising options. I'm not actually expecting much of a move until next week.

Wang:

"My call is based on my experience and a feel to balance all available fundamental and technical factors."

And how pretail do you use the first half of your weighing machine, fundamentals, on the net stocks? Net are 100% (make that 150% due to margin - hehe) technical. There are no fundamentals (and that is putting it nicely).

Wang Wei,

>>> The current market weakness may stem from caution before the release of CPI, PPI. My call is based on my experience and a feel to balance all available fundamental and technical factors.
Let's see what happen later.<<<

I respect the opinion of others, but I also would like to hear the reasoning behind ones opinion. Most of us on this thread go to lengths to express our opinion and share it. I dont care who is right or wrong, since what I feel what is most important on this thread is the sharing.

On the other hand if someone makes strong comments/opinions and does not support it then that does not follow the desired spirit of this thread.

You came on quite strong a few days ago, saying something like that this week the DOW will be up about 350 points. Hey, you could be right if the economic reports are good, but SO WHAT if you are right, since you dont explain your position that well enough for us to follow your logic.

I am also expecting an upswing, but not this week. It should start sometime next week, and I would not be surprised if it was quite strong and ending around early AUG with the DOW no higher than 11,500 but with possibly other sectors higher on a relative basis.

Hope you go into more detail, otherwise there is not much to follow.
