Tiger is the biggest crybaby on the Tour. Except for that guy that got a judge to make the PGA let him ride on a cart during tournaments.

Well Bill, William Harmond on another thread (who comes from advertising in Hollywood) says that any medium that can draw women is immensely more valuable from an advertising perspective than the same for men, because women control 80% or something of discretionary spending, except for some notary items like cars. Afterwards I checked out these womens portals women.com and ivillage and found that the % advertising on these is about 3 times what the other portals can get. OK so to counterbalance that force is the fact that women are not really predisposed to sports or spending money on sporting equipment etc. Still, I think there is some potential for endorsements and promotions for things like say, vitamins that women are likely to buy whereas there is no point to promoting with a male athlete.

I disagree about womens' golf, its just as good as mens. The problem with golf is it is just plain boring and has a small audience anyway except that the people that do watch are a bunch of CEOs which is such a valuable demographic that is the only reason its on.

The thing about the world cup is that soccer is so huge everywhere else in the world it is really amazing that the US women's team could win. You would never see the US mens team win a world cup. In europe kids grow up and play soccer their entire lives.
