CHAT news;

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1999--CEO Roche has
set up a Task Force in sweeping changes and reorganization of ChatCom
(Nasdaq Bulletin Board:CHAT). Each member of the Task Force team has
specific objectives and target dates. The company needed to be
re-energized and by assigning various tasks and responsibilities each
team member now feels that their contributions are important. Roche
stated there is nothing new in doing this, just a chance to maximize
the wealth of human resources within the company in such a manner
that everyone now feels they will be playing a role in the renewed
ChatCom.
Roche is already in Joint Venture discussions with a major
company relative to new products and new markets utilizing some of
ChatCom's technology. As their Chairman Dick Gordon might say,
"Houston, we have ignition."

Even though Roche is enthusiastic about the future of ChatCom, he
is also very cautious and makes it very clear that ChatCom is not out
of the woods and has many hurdles to jump before the company has clear
sailing. In warning, there are no guarantees and investors should be
extremely wary, as nothing is cast in concrete and the plan could
fall apart unless everything comes together at the proper time.

forward-looking statements are based upon reasonable assumptions, it
can give no assurances that its expectations will be attained.
Forward-looking statements involve known and unknown risks that could
cause the Company's actual results to differ materially from expected
results, including the need to raise additional capital and those
risks described in the Company's various filings with the SEC,
including Form 8K filed April 1999.
