Hi tejek,
I hope you're right. I couldn't help but notice the ascending pattern as well with the narrowing trend on extremely low volume. Nice move today so far (10:13 PDT) but I would like greater volume with decisive follow through.
I think the low volume of late suggests interest from the sidelines. Anything (good or bad - presumably good) will move BA out of this trading range in a very decisive way.
This move today is probably in anticipation of good earnings coupled with what Deb Hopkins has to say on Thursday.
Good news may bring a lot of forces to play - short covering, momentum players, fund managers finally willing to commit, hope it's not just too much wishful thinking ;)
