I see that www.xopenex.com is finally in action. (Thanks to the YC for pointing this out).

Basically they went for pretty graphics and safe claims (i.e., pretty much nothing above the label). Probably wise.

I also checked Usenet postings - nothing much yet, indicating to me that it probably will take a while to take off. (Of course the fact that it's not yet in a MDI form will reduce consumer interest a lot).

I did find one post in a response to "anyone tried it yet?". I've excerpted it below.

This is the first time for me to visit this sight. My daughter, 15 is on xopenex. It seems to be pretty good. Her peak flows have increased. At our last visit to the pulmonary, it was noted that while her pef came up after ventolin treatment...her fev decreased by 30%......but came back up after a treatment with xopenex. She has been much better since we changed.
