I know Teflon does amazingly well selling fairly short term puts, but leap puts work and are pretty safe, and you can always reposition if you want. I like them, because they allow you to ride out short term volatility safely, and bet on the fundamentals of a stock. So even tho you got burned, don't throw out the strategy entirely.
