>>Any comments on Ebay

It's annoying as hell, but I think it's a sentiment-driven decline based on the outages.

I'm hanging in. The outages have had no effect on the auction counts, which are at a record.

The following is from an article from TheStreet.com posted an hour ago - it's interesting that Ebay and Amazon auction traffic is on the decline - while Yahoo auction traffic is on the rise. This could be due to a "summer effect":

"Data from Nielsen/NetRatings show that eBay's traffic has declined 8% from where it was about eight weeks ago. Yahoo!'s (YHOO:Nasdaq) auction site grew by about 42% over the same period. Other entrants also aren't faring so well. Classifieds2000 declined about 25%. Traffic at Amazon.com's (AMZN:Nasdaq) auctions, which came on the research firm's radar screen just four weeks ago, is down 16% in four weeks."
