I last read the book about 5 years ago, and I heard from various sources that the author was jailed with trumped-up charges regarding taxes payable by him. Seems to me this was a red-herring to get him out of the way. Because of its iconoclastic nature, that book might not have sold well and the publishers might have gone out of business for a while. However, much to my pleasant surprise, I just found they have a website at 208.240.90.171.
