I did read the Bell Curve, and now I think I should review it before I say anything about it. Maybe I skipped over the parts about race and IQ, but I don't recall that race was the entire thrust of the book, in fact, as I recall it was just a small part. I recall that it was mostly about the increasing division of people into haves and have-nots based on their ability as knowledge workers. It doesn't need an IQ test to tell you that a person with an advanced degree is going to make more money, statistically, than a person with a grammar school education. White people who score low on IQ tests also have statistically greater problems with the criminal justice system, and less successful marriages, and many other social problems. The part about race is certainly controversial, as we have already discussed.
