Mike,

Please allow me to ask a dumb question of the thread. I apologize in advance.

Does gold have any appreciable consumptive uses? Are we simply piling up more and more gold as reserves, or is this stuff being consumed industrially?

If price keeps dropping I'm thinking maybe some uses that were perhaps off limits become feasible.
