netp - if doubleclick truly wants to own this category then net perceptions is a piece they may need -- or 24/7 could snap up >>

Hmmm.....He may makes a good point.... IMO, if 'the right company' wants to pay NETP shareholders 'the right price' we could become real interested in an acquisition <G>. The next week could be a good one for NETP shareholders. I plan to carefully consider the NETP conf. call and the analyst comments. I feel NETP could go out at a BIGGER premium than NETG (we have not had that type of run-up). On the other hand, NETP may choose to stay independent. Then again, Paul Allen could step up to the plate and take a much larger stake in Net Perceptions <G>.....anything is possible.

Best Regards,

Scott

Amazon's CEO Comments to the WSJ Interactive Edition on 7/12 about Personalization...

<<WSJ: As personalization becomes more crucial to success on the Web, does that reinforce the advantages of having the most customers of anyone -- and being the first mover into an area?

Mr. Bezos: It does. It's just like in traditional retail. If a small-town merchant knew your tastes, he could tell you if something interesting came in and he suspected you might want it. That was very valuable. If there was another merchant who opened up next door and didn't have five years of experience with you, then you wouldn't have as good a shopping experience there, just because the person didn't know you as well.>>

NETP is in a VERY strategic area and IMO it just needs to be discovered <G>.

Best Regards,

Scott
