A while back I posted the thread about one of my long-term woofers: CUBE. It continues to head up and has reached another 52-week high today on double average volume. Apparently the street thinks earnings will be good. In any event, if the street gets over the disillusionment that it has suffered from this stock and decides to fairly value it compared to other tech growth stocks, it could double from here by the end of the year. IMO, of course.

Bill,

Your calling me a liar has forced me to embarrass you in front of all your buddies. I apologize in advance, but I will not allow you, nor anybody, to tarnish my good reputation. I'm sure this was just an oversight on your part because my question was buried in a request to Yields. I remember asking you on another occasion as well but have no interest in culling all my posts to find it.

Simply issuing a sell/short recommendation on a stock doesn't necessarily mean that you put your own money on the line. Nobody on SI is obligated to post their trades, but absent that, you open yourself up to being called a "fraud". Given your strong opinion on GUMM and all the dialogue here over the past few days, I think it's only fair that you post your actual trade. It's interesting that you were able to short it because I know it's very hard to borrow the stock. Best of luck with your trade.

As far as your "fraudulent promotion of its quack cold remedy"...you are completely wrong about this and have no substantiated proof to back your claim up. The market will speak the truth.

Dan

Do you realize BTIM is back above $14 a share? Is this a shorting opportunity?

I issued a strong sell/short sell recommendation on GUMM. I shorted at an average price of 12 13/16. GUMM price has been artificially inflated because of the fraudulent promotion of its quack cold remedy.

Prediction: You will be out of your short in two weeks or be under water. If you have patience you can buy back twice as many shares in six months....If you have great patience, you can pay back six dollars for every dollar you short in a couple years.

The unwillingness to cover either the bet I proposed in response to your assertion, or to follow through with your earnings projection tells plenty to anyone who wishes to hear it. You have little courage of conviction for all of your bluster.

Mike
