So, you didn't pay attention to the Alex Brown et all lawsuit last year? these were all full service brokers and they mesed around alot. the real issue is that the SEC needs to get out there and start really cleaning up the brokers. The brokers all hide behind the NASD operations and the SEC turns it's head since we all "agree" to arbitrate and come to a settlement. In my case the online broker messes with the accounting on a daily basis and puts things in my account which actully prevent me from trading (like forgetting to settle a $300k trade and opening a margin laon in my interest), but they manage to clean it up by the account statement time, so when you go before the NASD, the account looks clean and you look like a fool, but the acocunt had no money in it for the period while you were held out of trading. In the fuls ervice borker case, they NEVER once advised me of anything, except to sell QCOM early on, charged me like 20-30 times the commission of others, acted so arrogant that they had to answer my call, that I figured that if I just dealt with one who responded on the phone and id what I want, it would be ok. Bottom line, while NASD is stillin existance, anything we do is useless.
