Intershop Wins Order From Go2Net to Supply Software Products

Jena, Germany, July 13 (Bloomberg) -- Intershop Communications AG, a German maker of electronic commerce software, said it gained an order from Go2Net Inc. to supply software for the company's Internet services.

Intershop agreed to supply Go2Net, a Seattle-based Internet directory and Web site operator, with software to improve Go2Net's services. Financial details of the contract from Go2Net, which operates online shops ''Virtual Avenue'' and ''HyperMart,'' weren't provided.

Intershop expects to profit from Go2Net's more than 375,000 customers and expand its market share in the growing e-commerce market. Consumers will spend $11 billion to buy groceries over the Internet by 2003, according Forrester Research Inc.

Intershop shares rose as much as 6.5 euros, or 2.4 percent, to 279 euros.

levy,

The chart is freakin me out.

I will be back in this name. I like everything the company is doing but I am still struggling with the valuation. I will step up on a day the stock needs friends.

As far as the Russell weighting, it just means that the stock started off with a big piece of the pie that is indexed to the Russell. It also means "closet" indexers will be more willing to get their internet exposure via this stock given its prominent weighting. If memory serves me the stock is near the top of the heap but still only accounts for .00197 (almost two tenths of one percent) of the Russell 2000 and .00383 of the Russell 2000 Growth index. I think these numbers/weightings were as of June 30th. The indexing is behind us now though and will likely be unwound this time next year when the stock goes out because (hopefully) it will be to big.

Next stop S&P 500!

Yes the email thing should be good. It promotes stickiness and I am all for that.

HSAC has been a real winner huh? and even more volatile than GNET.
