ORCA Technologies Launches The CuraSys Portal -- Linking Home Health Care Providers, Payers, And Physicians Via The Web
BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1999--ORCA Technologies Inc. (OTC BB:ORCA - news), emerging provider of Windows-based, enterprise software for home health care management, today announced the launch of their home health care web portal at www.orcatech.net.
The portal will provide authorized users with a secure gateway for access to real-time information used in decision support and transactions related to effective patient management.
ORCA's web portal is an extension of its CuraSys(TM) product line, an automated system for enterprise-wide home health care management. The portal will link clinicians, administrators, payers and physicians with secure, web-based CuraSys home health care, medical management and regulatory compliance applications.
A key component of ORCA's new portal provides authorized users with secure access to the web-based benchmarking and analysis capabilities of the CuraSys Outcomes Center(TM). Home health care businesses are required by the government and certain accrediting organizations to collect specific data used to indicate the ability of a home health care agency to manage risk and provide consistent quality patient care. All CuraSys users, in the normal course of use, collect and manage this data. The data is aggregated and delivered to ORCA's data warehouse where it is processed and delivered to the requiring regulatory entity to fulfill reporting and benchmarking mandates.
