> That's horrible! I'm getting .923Mb on my basic 384kb account

William, do you know anything about network measurements? There is no physical way you could get .923 Mbits per second on a .384 mbit (384k) connection. The server states the file is not compressed, but transferred raw.

The theoretical maximum you could get would be .384 mbit per second.

>You should me getting much more than 1.5Mb.

Have you ever used the net in silicon valley? This is by far the most congested network area in the world. I've used machines and connections in offices that are OC3, and everything is slow as hell during the daytime. Just too many geeks using the net. Just ask anyone in the valley.

No wonder PacBell wants to increase the price of their service all the time... So, you are getting 923kbps with a 384kbps account. Interesting. Am I missing something here ?
