I'm not a "card carryin'" member of the religious right, that monolithic group which so haunts the Empress, but I can venture a guess. The God bashing doesn't bother lefties like Jackson, et al. because the left is responsible for handing out the goodies to Jackson's, et al. constituencies. In a way the constituencies overlap to a certain degree. One does not bite the hand that feeds. No such conflict of interest exists with the Christian right. JLA
