Ray,

I'll spare you the details, but after several inquiries to BEL about their much-advertised DSL services, I would be being charitable to classify them as "clueless."

My inquiries (after a BEL advertising and bill-stuffer blizzard) were equally non-productive whether inquiring as a residential customer, a general inquirer to the advertised special DSL 800#, a cold caller to the general business office for commercial accounts, or a corporate inquirer to our special "major accounts" representative. A high point was being told by a major accounts service rep. that I'd probably be able to find out myself or read it in the newspapers long before they would have any idea of, or be notified by their company of, the DSL rate structures.

... And they still can't understand why the CLEC's have been able to gain such a foothold in their bread and butter businesses.

Steve

Raymond, yeah, we don't need IDSN because we have [insert flavour of the month]DSL.

Anyway, i have a degree of respect for this guy's insight (though this is not one of his more detailed commentairies):

(BTW, he sold GBLX but still holds Qwest. Seems to me like the worst move anyone even made.)
