Dan Niles predicted revenues of $6.748 billion for 2q and .51 for eps, came in at $6.746 bil and .51. His revenue # was off by just $2 million. That is some model he has constructed.

Net margins of 25.3%....not too shabby by any standard:-) And this was in a Q which "reflected a seasonal slowdown":-0

Tony: Good Point! Except for missing by 2 pennies this is a good maybe even an excellent report. Camino and Merced on track. Margins improving yet market share getting better. PIII being accepted faster than anticipated and Celeron enjoying good margins at the low end. INTC met the competition and improved their GM against what the world thought was intense price competition from AMD that would certainly erode their margins. All it did was erode their Revs. at a slightly faster rate than they were able to improve margins in this qrtr. If what they say is true about the future GM than the next 2 qrtrs. should be great. It will be interesting to see how the analysts play with themselves on this one. JFD
